    Default Figuring Child Support

When child support is being figured, do they take into account if one of the parties is remarried to someone that has kids and child support is being received for these step kids? Will they lower the child support amount I would get because he married someone with children from a previous marriage?

    Nope nope nope

Whether they be from her previous or from him having one himself, with the new person.......make no difference on what he'll pay you for the kids YOU GUYS have.

I am with a woman who had 2 kids, I had 2 and now we've had one together.....the law could give a crap, I still have to pay for my first 2.

The formulas and guidelines governing support vary by state. Some states do include in the calculation all of your dependent children. But your spouse's income and kids from his or her prior relationships would not normally enter the equation.

If my sons mother were to remarry, would there be any point in going back to court, to try and lower child support?
Does it matter how much her new husband makes?
And, if my child support wouldnt go down, because of her new household, income, do you think I might be able to get, lets say, to claim my son every year as an exemption on my taxes?
Living in Massachusetts, where the NCP's get screwed , It probably wouldnt matter I guess.

He can check the state child support formula which governs his support calculation to see what effect the changes would have.
