Question Security System Being Installed - Who is Responsible

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Kentucky

We are about to move into a property and are wanting a security system installed on the property. The landlord says that if we want a security system it is our responsibility and the cost will be on us. To me that seems a bit heavy seeing as the investment is in their property, which we are renting, not buying.

Who is responsible for the cost?

You. You want the system, the landlord does not. He doesn't even have to give you permission to install it. And once it's installed it's a fixture, so you don't get to take it with you.
