Unlicensed Domestic Barber in South Florida (Advertising)

My question involves business law in the state of: Florida

I am an unlicensed barber and I am interested in making advertisements (business cards, postings etc.) But I am concerned that I can get in trouble for promoting myself as an unlicensed Barber. I will be sort of a Barber on the road, going to different locations and serving customers on the spot.

Is there any way I can get into trouble for this and how can I avoid these issues strategically with the flyers and cards? Getting my license is out of the question as I am a full time student.

I do not think you are going to get any help to break the law here.

1. With no license in Florida, you will be in violation of the law.

2. Business cards and other advertising, legally speaking, are supposed to include your Florida license number. The fact that you do not have one will stand out to anyone who knows how these things work.

3. You will be taking work away from licensed professionals. You can be sure if any of them find out, you will be turned in.

4. If you piss off any customer, chances are you will be in trouble, and if you get sued, you will have no defense, to say nothing of no insurance.

5. Here in Florida the lack of a license in numerous professional areas is a criminal offense.

Fines and jail. No, seriously, they will toss you in JAIL for it.

Practicing barbering/cosmetology/manicure without a license is a criminal offense in most states.

There are criminal penalties. As soon as a licensed barber gets wind of what you're doing they will turn you in because they play by the rules and you don't. The state will be all over you like flies on a pile of... honey.
