    Default Workers Compensation Settlement Percentage

My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: Ohio. My question is My attorney had me go to a doctor to determine my Settlement percentage. I tore my bicep and suffered extensive nerve damage in my hand and arm while on the job. Of course the State doctors are trying to deny me, but they never ran tests to determine the damage in my hand and arm. My attorneys doctor rtan tests and determined 75% loss in my hand and 50% in my arm Ive listened to all the therapists and doctors to get healthy and its been over a year and Im not getting any better in those areas. I have a hearing on the 4th of Jan. to settle on a percentage, they usually fall somewhere in the middle which would be about 25% to 30% on my arm and 35% to 40% on my hand. How much would that be in a dollar amount? And how much longer will it take to get it?

Read this. There's no simple formula we can apply to determine what your settlement might be, even if you were to provide us with the relevant information about your future benefits and their projected cost. Your lawyer may be able to give you a ballpark figure.

Also there is a specific percentage assigned from the AMA guidlines, despite the percentages of impairment quoted by a Dr. These are the guidelines used in court ( at least in some states, I dont know about Ohio)
