This is somewhat lengthy, but I will try to trim it down and still get question across. Any help would be appreciated.
I am currently dating a man going through a divorce. His soon to be ex-wife is very bitter and vengeful. She currently works for a medical credit collections agency in our area. In the Spring I received a letter from that office stating that I owed them money. Knowing full well that I didn't owe that money, and she worked there I contacted a family friend (who's a lawyer) and they called the office and asked for her to remove me that there was proof of no debt and that it would be considered harassing if she continued. Then in July I received a text message from her with regards to my personal relationship with her ex. Told her to lose my number and never contact me again. She stated in the text she obtained my number from a friend of a friend. I know this isn't true.
I have recently obtained my credit report to dispute certain items and found her office listed as an inquiry. Comments below the inquiry stated "conventional mortgage." Her office has nothing to do with mortgages nor have I applied for one in many years. I want to know what my legal rights are and want to take action against her. Fed up with the harassment and the outright violation of my privacy using her job.
