Default Who Can A Repo Man Contact
:?: my question is this: isn't against the law for repo or private investigator to call family and tell them that they are friends, then they end up telling them that you are behind?Isn't harassing in there after they constantly call them, what about calling friends or family at their jobs? need some help on this.I have some of this on paper as they had their jobs contact them through e-mail with their phone number

You need to figure out whether this person or organization is a collection agency as defined by state or federal law, whatever they call themselves, as you have the most rights against such conduct by a collection agency. As you don't know this person's actual status, it is not possible to determine what legal restrictions they may operate under.

my daughter gave the phone number it was on caller id and they are under investigation and collecting, repo ( checked them out.they were hired by chase , they have kept continuing to call her , even got ahold of her on her personal cell phone, and they told her that if she didn't tell them where i was at , she would be arrested, and told her pretty much anything you wanted to know about this, they have called her on the average of 2-6 times a day.also told her they want to serve me? also i want to ad they have sent me statements every month, so they do know where i am?
