Default Return Credits More Than I Paid

I returned some items to a store I bought with a credit card. My card was credited back the regular price which was about $30 more than the sale price I originally paid. I did not alter anything or attempt any deception. They have my contact information from member rewards number.

Can I wait for them to contact me about this and claim I didn't notice? Will they contact the police? What if I get on probation for something else and then they bring charges?

Since you appear to be so freaked out about this, I would suggest you do what you can to make it appear you did not do this on purpose which is:

call the store and tell them they credited you too much. Then, let them fix the over credit and all will be right in the world again.
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.
