Landlord, Sally, owns 5-6 properties on the same street and is ill with cancer. Sally has had numerous verbal conversations with one particular tenant, Tammy, about selling Tammy the house she is currently renting. A purchase price has been established, property was appraised to support sales price of $164k and landlord agreed to carry the note with 6% down payment. House is free & clear. Several people have witnessed hearing the Landlord make this verbal offer, including myself. Sally's advisor, who is also the trustee, didn't make sure to update the will so Tammy could purchase the house she is currently renting. Sally's will stated her property would be given to the Jewish temple. Upon Sally's death, her trustee, decided to not cooperate in selling one of the homes to Tammy and instead, plans on razing the homes and building condos. Is there anything that can be done so that Tammy can purchase this house as verbally promised??
