Charges of Disorderly Intoxication

He was picked up for disorderly intoxication a few questions...

Is the legal limit in michigan 0.07 for intoxication? If so, my fiancee' wasn't driving and was taken in...they gave him a preliminary breath test and it came back.... .514 is it me or is that really high... should he have been passed out or seeking medical attention....he only 175 lbs. we're trying to fight the fact that he was drunk....the police made him blow three times before they settled in on a number.

Did they take him to the hospital for treatment?

no they didn't. no he's not facing drunk driving charges. they're saying he was drunk and disorderly. He was on parole...we're trying to fight the violation.

Somebody with a .514 BAC should be taken directly to the hospital. For most people that's beyond a lethal dose. Either their machine was wrong, or there's something else going on here.

One way or another, he doesn't have to be driving a vehicle to be guilty of disorderly conduct.
