Default Out of State Expungement for Texas

My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: Texas
I live in California and am trying to expunge a conviction from 1999 in Texas. I need help finding out the correct route to take to get the process started.

You can't expunge a conviction in Texas unless you first obtain a pardon. As is explained in dozens of threads, you can only expunge a deferred Class C misdemeanor. For any other deferral you can seek an order of nondisclosure after the statutory waiting period.

If you did qualify (didn't have a conviction), usually your attorney can be present on your behalf so you don't have to appear.
