so i stole a $20 perfume at tjmaxx
    and i got fined....and i didn't go to court.....
and am not sure whether it is a petty crime or something else....
but the guy who wrote me up said it'll be like a parking ticket fine??

If they said it's a parking ticket it's a probably a volation or some type of city ordirance. If you know the exact name you can google it,it's probably not a misdeamanor or felony, you can most likely answer no. In CA for example there petty theft which can be an infraction I think it's called and not considered a misdeamanor or felony.

It all depends on the backround check,a really good one there always a chance even if it's small that something pops up.
