No Police Report from Search and Arrest

I was recently arrested for posession of marijuana under 1 oz. I have since spoken to a lawyer and we have concluded that the officers entered our house without lawful access, however this is not my issue. After trying to obtain the police report a few weeks after the incident, our lawyer found there to be no police report for our case. What does this mean; specifically, what are my chances of getting this dropped without hiring a lawyer now with no police report?
