Default Other Tenant Didn't Sign Lease - Am I Still Bound

My question involves a roommate in the State of: Georgia.

I recently found a new roommate to move into my apartment. Both of our names were on the lease. I ended up signing it before he did. He said he would sign it later that day, but never did. He decided he did not want to live at that apartment complex anymore.

Since I signed it, but he didn't, am I still responsible for the lease? Since he didn't sign it... wouldn't the entire lease be invalid?

Also, the lease was predicated off his salary AND mine, combined. Now that he hasn't signed, I wouldn't qualify on my own(if they re-ran the numbers with just my salary). Does this play into the equation?

Any help would be much appreciated.... the sooner, the better. Thanks...

Get another job, or another roommate. You are bound.

Did the landlord accept and sign the lease with just your signature? IF so, you apparently qualified on your own.
