Using Photos from Other Countries

Hello,

If I were to copy photos of people off of websites from other countries (like Russia, for example) and use them for my own website here in the U.S., do I need to worry about copyright issues? If it matters, these would be everyday photos taken by regular folks, not professional photos taken by magazines, etc.

Whether Amateur or Professional....yes, there are copyright issues.

If you are going to publish a photo, get the WRITTEN consent from either or both, the photographer and subject.

Hit the bookstore, look through the Photography books....a lot of them have those nice little Consent forms that you can make copies of...
