When I first moved into my current Florida apartment, my A/C didn't work. I continually reported it over the last 6 months (about 7 times) and it still has not been properly fixed. The a/c would blow hot air and the temperature in the apartment would stay at or above 89 degrees Upon entering the office to request my lease be terminated early due to the complexes negligence of my repeatedly-reported request, I was told no, because it was not the fault of the complex.

a week later, they sent their maintenance staff and a/c expert to my apartment and they also confirmed the a/c is indeed broken as I had been reporting for 6 months. I took this back to the office and he told me they still wouldn't let me out because it was an easy fix and that they would fix soon. I expressed this easy fix should've taken place shortly after I fix addressed the issue upon move-in and not 6-months later.

He still won't let me out of my (written) lease. What are my options? My peace-of-mind with my current apartment is completely shot and it's affecting my productivity? How do I get out? Thanks.
