My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: NC
In Charlotte (Meck county) stopped for a failure to stop at a stop sign. Turning onto a 4 lane divided from side street, police car was only car in that direction, and I clearly saw him. I thought that I stopped, but he had a clear view at my wheels and I guess it never completely stopped. I knew that arguing would be futile.
On the citation he listed an incorrect class for my license (I have a class B, he wrote class C). I'm guessing that this won't lead to dismissal?
The officer also wrote light traffic, clear, and 55A (approximate) for the speed. That was the speed limit, but not my speed. According to an on-line document that I found for training, this is supposed to list my speed. Again, guessing this is nothing?
I was provided a form on where to send payment, but there is no fine listed. If I want to pay and avoid court, I don't know what to pay. I was given a yellow sheet with instructions, and it lists "penalty" (blank), "court costs" (pre-printed $130) and then "Total Due" (blank). I don't find anything on the citation either.
Suggestions?
