Default Stepparent adoption when the bio-parent is unknown

My husband would like to adopt my daughter. Her bio-father is unknown. Any insight on how to go about this would be helpful.

You would have to ask the court to allow you to provide some form of alternative service, or otherwise serve all of the possible fathers with notice of the proceeding.

I know that if there was a chance I could be the biological father, I would like to be notified in person by you. If that were to be the case I would only do what is best for her and you and your husband and SWs "real father" MW, which is to legally bind her to the only father she has known. If you get this reply contact me in person, because I will always wonder if our actions in Mary Faust beget such a wonderful little girl.
