Arrest Record Expungement

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Michigan

I went to my local police station yesterday for a records clearance as my wife and I are attempting to become a liscensed foster care home. The police form showed I have a criminal record from an arrest for domestic violence that took place in 2001 and involved my ex wife. I did spend a night in jail but the DA came to my cell the following morning and apologized stating I should not have been arrested. He told the judge that morning no charges would be forthcoming and asked that I be released from custudy immediately. How can I have that arrest record sealed or espunged so it won't show up when prospective employers or anyone else inquires regarding my criminal record? Thank you so much.
