Getting Adopted To Get Out Of My House

Hey my name is Elaine and I am going to be 16 in august and I have a best friend who is 28 and I stay with her all the time but My mom will not let me move out and in with her and her husband who take care of me... When I am at home I have to deal with pothead parents and they are also drunks in fact my mothers husband is in jail right now for dui and my mom is at probation.. I live in Tennessee how would they go about adopting me cause I can't take this anymore and She wont let me leave

Strangers can't simply waltz into the lives of another family and adopt their children. If your home is that bad, they may be able to petition for a guardianship, or you may be able to get help from protective services.

yeah but i cant take it and if it doesnt work and I have to go home she will beat me or something and never let me go anywhere at all

Hey...I am kinda in a similar situation. have them petition for guardianship of you. Go with them to the court when they drop of the petition and explain. Due to your age it should work out ok as long as your freind and her husband are fit to be your guardians.
