    Angry 75 in a 60

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Washington

So I was driving on state route 2 about to hop onto the trestle to Everett WA. There is a slight bend in the corner. It's a two lane road so I was in the far left lane. There was a truck in front of me and a car directly parallel to me. I was doing about 67... with the flow of traffic. The speed limit is 60. So i'll admit I was speeding. I come around the corner and get lasered. Now, I own a Beltronics Vector 940 Radar/Laser detector, and every time I've been hit the thing goes nuts. It never went off, once. So he writes me the ticket for 75. The girl next to me even pulled over cause he just waved me over, no lights or anything. He was a Washington State Patrol. and he wouldn't show me the laser. Which I know isn't my right, but most do anyways.

So what should my options be? Discovery? Bring the loser in? I have a lawyer who has got one of my tickets dropped already for $250 and he can do it again but I'd rather take my chances.

    Thanks

    Nick

Arguing that you "Beltronics Vector 94- Radar/Laser detector" didn't go off is not going to get you out of the ticket.

If by "the loser" you mean the officer who cited you, my understanding of Washington's procedures suggest that the officers don't show up in court. They simply file a signed statement. Do a search for "Washington speeding" citations... You'll find plenty of info on how to proceed.
I am right 97% of the time... Who cares about the other 4%!
