    Default Fingerprint Background Check

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: CA

Hey guys... what can a fingerprint check tell about a person?

is a fingerprint background check for felons, mental people or anyone with any conviction?

Im applying for a job soon, and i want to know if i should be worried since from what they told me, they said it is a background check for felonies, but will anything else pop up?
I have never been to jail or had any trouble with the law except for a few speeding tickets. (But all taken care of)
Let me know what you guys may know. Thanks for the help.

If you have nothing on your record other than speeding tickets, then a criminal background check shouldn't turn up anything. (But if that's the case, why are you worried?)

If they run your driving record, presumably they would find the speeding tickets.

A fingerprint background check is where the potential employer runs your fingerprints to see what pops up.

If you've never been fingerprinted before, nothing will show. If you've been fingerprinted for anything at all, then it will show up that you were fingerprinted for whatever it was you were fingerprinted for. (For instance, if I have a fingerprint background check run, it will show that I was printed for teaching credentials 20 years ago.)

Why fret? If you've never been in trouble, there's nothing to worry about.

Okay, I have to ask. What is it that you think might pop up that you are worried about?

You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but if we had an idea what you were worried about, we might be able to tell you whether it is public information.
