L1b Short Term to H1b

I have L1B from a Company which is issued in 2007, which will be expiring on 2010.

Travelled to US only for 6 Months with L1B, during this time I was paid only US allowance and salary paid in India.

Also in the Petition they have mentioned Indian Salary.

1. Can I renew this Visa?
2. Can I work in US with US salary using the same petition?
3. How do I convert L1B to H1B for the same company?
4. Can I apply for H1B in different company while I have L1B for current company?

Please advice.

You cannot do anything yourself. A guest worker visa is based on a petition by the employer for the worker.

Your employer can extend the visa, you can work in the US with a US salary using the same petition, you can convert L1B to H1B for the same company, and another employer can apply for your H1B in a different company while you still have L-1B from your current company. All possible.
