My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: United Kingdom.
Good afternoon,
I realise this is an American forum but im hoping that some of you might have a grasp of UK law.
This is my first post on the forum so hi everyone, today I'm looking for a little bit of advice.
Yesterday after I had finished my shift at work, rather stressed I placed a comment on a popular social networking website which documented an interaction I have with customers that I dislike, and I followed this by saying "...idiots".
Two minutes later I come to my sense and changed the update to something else relalising that a comment like that could be damaging.
Today I come into work, pulled into a room and they have a printout of my social networking site, showing the comment that I had made and I've been suspended pending a formal hearing next week.
The social networking site does not say what company I work for, nor does the comment itself refer to the company I work for, only a rather generic "Customers".
I realise that I've done wrong and I'm an idiot to be honest, but is there anything I can do to prevent from being sacked?
Cheers. :/
