How to Appeal a Driver's License Suspension in Pennsylvania

So I live in myrtle beach right now but was suspended in pennsylvania. The suspension started around 07 and goes until 2013. I was only 18 when it started and was because of several driving without a license violations (6 months each time) and one dui which was like another 6 months to a year I think. I wanted to file a late appeal without a lawyer so I called the courthouse and demanded information. Eventually they told me several papers I needed to file, like a rule atturnable and a nunc pro tunc and some other ones. I looked into them and decided I need aa lawyer.

So the question: Is this something I can do on my own by looking in the right spot, through the right books, websites, etc., or do I really need a lawyer and about how much can this cost? I'm appealing because I feel that this is an unfair amount of time and I make payments on my fines on time every month. I also wasn't the best citizen at the time but now since moving I've held a full time job and volunteer occasionally so I think I could win this. Anyone agree?

You need help. This is not something you want to try to tackle on your own.

A Nunc-pro-tunc is a two part process in most counties. If you do it wrong you will waste more money and time.

The actual license suspension appeal is not something to go into unless you know exactly why you are there. There is no help the court will give you at the LSA and you will be going up against PennDOT's lawyer in the hearing.

It will cost you more up front to have assistance with the appeals, but it will be much better in the long run.
