    Unhappy I-130, Interview and Seeking a Waiver After Deportation

    i got deported and ban 10 years i married my husband he is an american we filled up the I-130 got the reciept and 3months later a letter saying that my case was moved to memphis and that we were going to recieve and interview schedule. we got it 2 weeks ago. my lawyer keep saying this is the wrong process and seriously i dont understand why...at uscis website i check my status and i am in the process of "testin and interview" after that is the decision...but when do i have to submit the waiver? do i need to do two...? please if someone can help to clear my worries thanks i will appreciate it

    You were deported for what reason, and banned how long ago? You are presently living where?

    my parent aplied for a politic ass. in 2002 but i got denied. we received a ssn and an employement card. but in 2004 we got a voluntary deportation and we didnt go. i kept working w my ssn did my taxes bought a house went to college. ice checked the papers at my job many employees got arrested. included me. on december 5 2008. i spent 2 months at a detention center. i got send back last january 14.
    i got ban for 10 years. i marry my husband last march and we submited the i-130
    and we have and interview this coming october.
    our last lawyer said that its not right and this is going to delate our process.
    please i will appreciate it if someone could help me. the lawyer is charging a lot of money and i dont knw if he is just messing w us.

    i was deported in 2007 for illegal entry and my ban was for 10 years and i was married in 2006,i applied for petition i-130 in may 2009 just 5 months ago and they called my wife for interview one month ago and my application was approved and now we gonna apply for the waiver soon,what i wanna say that u r on the right track and stick with ur lawyer and dont worry .... good luck.

    ohh thanks selwad that what i want it to here. an inmigration officer told me that when i was in a detention center but i didnt believe him.
    hope everything goes ok for u. after the interview they sent u a notice saying that it was approved or they tell u at the interview. and do u knw how long it takes for the waiver to get approve. do u have to submit two like me or just one?

    u r welcom,about ur questions.....ur husband must get alot of documentation something to prove ur real marrige such as photoes with each other and any letters between u and ur husband or a report for all the money he sent to u to suport u since u got deported and stuff like that in case ur lawyer didnt mention to u all these coz this what we did,they told my wife my pitition was approved in the interview and few days later we got a letter from them for that approval,so after this u apply for the waiver and it needs from 2 months to 6 months for the process,i hope i answered what u want,good luck

    yes, thank you. that will help me a lot i need to tell my husband about it. im afraid of this interview. i want everything to go ok. this has been a nightmare. u r been really helpful.
    i dont undestand why the lawyer keep telling us that the interview its wrong. he says that is the wrong process.

    u r very welcom,if ur lawyer kept saying this is not helpful so i guess u need to change the lawyer and find u someone knows his job,if u need any more information just ask any time and if u want my advise have a hope and dont listen to some disappointed voices here in this fourm .... i feel how u feel coz we live in the same situation and we need a hope,good luck.
