Angry Moved to Europe, Debt in USA
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Florida
I am 55 yers old and have been responsible my entire life. I have a Visa debt of $10,000 in the USA but have moved to France. Because of the chaos in my move I missed a payment , anddid not pay cell bill my AMEX account is cancelled too, my credit score is ruined. I will not be going back to the USA
Can they go after me in France, I have no job and no way to make Euros here. I do have a Brokerage Account for my future can they go after that.? that my concern now thank you

If they want, they can pursue you in France. I doubt that they will, but it's possible. If the brokerage account is a formal retirement account under U.S. law, they can't pursue its contents under U.S. law; I can't speak for French law.
