My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: California. My previous employer is calming I quit so they can get out of paying unemployment. I have worked for over 4 years with them and seen them use this tactic many times before, and now it is happening to me. When I didn't not receive my unemployment checks I final got through to EDD and they told me my employer was protesting my unemployment (NO SURPRISE). My first phone interview i was told by EDD that my employer told them I didn't deserve unemployment. Then they straight out lied to EDD and told them I quit (Its OK I have tons of documentation that says otherwise). Unbelievably EDD believed the crap story my employer told them and denied my unemployment.
I am currently appealing the decision. Well to I got a letter in the mail from Edd that SAYs i HAVE ANOTHER PHONE INTERVIEW. What dose that mean? Did someone over there mess up and not input the information correctly and they think this is my first interview? Or are they reconsidering my claim?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Nichole
