Default Legal Collector
I've learned to check if a company is leggaly able to collect in the state in which you reside. I am in IL. The collection agency that has now taken me to court is not a registered licensed agency in this state. The atty is licensed to practice in this state but if the company that he respresents is not, can he still win?
