Default Trying to Settle Debts
i just posted with no response, so i want to refrase it

i am current on my credit cards, and i just got laid off

problem is i have a bipolar disorder and i do not know what happened , if it was a change in medication or what but i racked up 120,000 bucks in credit cards. i just kept on cash advancing to pay

i already have a 56,000.00 dallor second mortgage from a spending spree for a few years

i am trying to sell things and get money to try debt settlement

question one, how long till you stop paying on a card before they send you to collevtions?

question two if they will not go for debt settlement, how long till i get sued

i have noticed most are being sued after 3 years on this site, is that the avverage time

please help

just so you know

if i sell everything i bought, and use my 401k, i might be able to offer 50% to settle debt. i am just wondering how long till i get sued, if i get sued i will have to file bankruptcy, i just want to try to pay back at least some of the debt befor creditors sue me

It is up to each individual creditor to decide whether and when to sue. You are asking for guesswork, and we don't have sufficient information to provide any meaningful response.

With that type of debt load, you should consider consulting a bankruptcy lawyer.
