My mother owns a 2002 Hyundai. It recently overheated and it would not start. The car is under warranty for ten years or 100,000 miles, The car has 42,000 miles on it. I had the car towed to the dealer. They say we have to prove maintainence by showing record in order for the warranty to obtian. My mother, who is now 83, cannot find the records prior to 2008 because she moved. I know the car was well-maintained. Can they get away with refusing to service the car? Do we have a viable legal claim against them for not honoring the warranty?
