Default Judgement Even Though Payment Plan Agreed
Hello!
I am in the state of Illinois.

I appreciate any illumination anyone can give-
Hello Mr. Knowitall.... are you out there?

I was recently (8-31) called into court with a summons from HSBC- Household bank. It was for $1300. Before the judge- I agreed that the debt was mine. And agreed to pay the law firm $50 per month each month.

Now how does this work?
Does that mean that a judgement WAS placed on my credit history/record?
Even though I agreed to a payment plan?

Can you tell me what the difference between a "judgement" and a "consent judgement" is? ( I already know that a "default judgement" is when I don't even show up at court- which I did show up)

Thank you so much!
Have a GREAT labor day weekend!

If a judgment was entered by the court, you can expect that it will show up on your credit history.

A consent judgment is a type of judgment - it's one that the parties consent to having entered, as opposed to one entered by the court without regard to the preferences of one (or more than one) party.
