Default Is a Wheel Boot Legal

My question is a little bit different from repo's.

I own a bail bond business (Michigan) and latley been having problems with people NOT paying off the balances of bonds.

The co-signer signs a contract, and promisary note to release a defendant. This is only on a few cases a month. Most people are honest and pay.

I was thinking about adding a wheel boot to my inventory to recover monies owed. This is of course is after numerous written attempts to collect. Bill collectors are not much help neither.

Can I add this verbage to my contract stating this wheel boot option , such as a hold harmless agreement or ????

One more thing, I do have a heart. When people are making an attempt to pay. I always give extensions. It just a few that Im tired of.

    Any help, please.

    sample verbage would be great.

unless you have a lien on the vehicle or a court order allowing you to sieze a persons vehicle, you cannot seize a vehicle.

why not educate yourself as to the legal means you have available to you to collect your money. Either that or get out of the business of loaning money.

I missed the point? You want to illegally seize property you have no legal claim to and I missed the point?

If you want to use the car as collateral, you include it in your contract along with any agreed upon associated actions but you cannot simply take their property. It is really simple. Maybe that is the problem, it is too complex for you to comprehend.

After re-reading your original post, I see that it I am most likely correct.

    verbiage; not verbage
    promissory; not promisary

When people are making an attempt to pay.
Here, we have an example of the subject of a sentence. Now that would be followed with the predicate but for some reason, it is followed only by a period.

Maybe we have been graced by the queries of a grammar school dropout.
