My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of Maryland. I live in a little community owned by a small leasing company that rents to college students. They recently installed a 360 degree surveillance camera with audio on the outside of one of the houses. However the location of the camera puts it approximately 20 feet from a trio of girls' bedrooms where it has a completely unobstructed view. There is nothing in the lease that mentions any sort of surveillance system and nobody was notified before installation; the super just showed up yesterday to install it without telling anybody beforehand.
Is our landlord allowed to do this, even though the camera can look directly into those bedrooms?
