Child Lives with Me in Florida Now - How Do I Change the Order

Our son and his mother moved in with me last month. We had a custody case in CA already. How do I change the order to FL and then change the custody? What forms will I need? Where do I file them. Can you provide a link?

You need to file a change of venue at the CA courts. You need to attend court to validate your reasons for change. If the parents and child live in FL, there should be no problem. The forms you can find on the website: courtinfo.ca.gov. Hope this helps!

It's more complicated than that, as you would also have to initiate a case in Florida - there has to be an action to which your case would be transferred.

But that's somewhat beside the point. There's more to your case than you revealed this time around, and we've already discussed these issues.
