Default Retail Fraud (Shoplifting) in Michigan

So I am 19 years old, no criminal record, and was recently caught shoplifting at a meijer. I attempted to steal some cheap alcohol totaling to about $6.50.

My main question is what kind of conviction can i expect? On the ticket I received from the police it only had Retail Fraud on it, so I can assume I will not receive and MIP(Minor in Possession) as well?

Since this a first offense and a very small amount of stolen goods, can i expect to have this expunged through diversion or another method? I am willing to pay all fines, I just don't want this terrible mistake to be on my record.
