Unhappy Arrested in Indiana for Check Deception

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Indiana

I was pulled over today for speeding and was told I had an outstanding warrent and was taken to jail. I had a check bouce back in 2002 for $45 dollars. What is the statute of limitations in Indiana for this charge? And what can I expect when I go to court? I have been pulled over a few times since then and even had a back ground by the DoD to get my security clearence, but this never showed up before today. I didn't know the check bounced nor about the warrant before today, if I did I would have taken care of it. My employer will not look favorably at me over this and I could be dismissed from my position. Any advice would be very appreciated!!!!!!!!

Get an attorney, and do so now.

In most states, the SOL for collecting on a dishonored check is two years. That would be the SOL to commence action, not actually be paid.

You'll be asked about the bounce in court, and you'll likely be expected to settle the debt - and damages - then.
