So i was in my friends car the other day at our local hooters, and my friend opened his door and started getting out..three seconds later, our friend pulled into the parking space next to ours...and hit the door... whos fault would it be?

Normally it would be the friend who hit the car door. You have to make sure that a space in a parking lot is clear before you pull into it. Presumably your friend was also "right behind you" coming into the store, and should also have anticipated that you and your other friend had just parked and would be getting out of the car.
