A friend and I want to start a t-shirt company. We would like to draw charicters from different movies on a t-shirt for sale. These would not be movie stills, they would be drawn charcitures of guys like Travis Bickle, Jake LaMotta, etc. Of course, the charicatures would be from certain senes, with appropriate pose and clothing.

Would this be a copyright issue?
