My question involves a background check in the State of: Texas
I had a bad check and didn't get to the county clerks office in the 10 days they gave me. I showed up one day late and they had giving me a warrant. I asked them what I could do to fix this and I had to plead guilty to a class c misdemeanor "issuance of bad checks" . The charge was a class b first but now is only a class c. Anyways I applied for a personal banker job at Wells Fargo and got the job pending a background check. They called me 1 week later and told me they couldn't hire because of the criminal class c misdemeanor. They said I couldn't be bonded. I can't get it expunged, have talked with my lawyer. My lawyer has offered to write a letter to the HR department, but I talked to the lady at the HR office and she said that if I can't pass a background check with them they can't hire me. It's been 3.5 years sence the charge. I really want to get into the banking field. Is there anyone that could help me at all.![]()
