My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Washington
I just received the speeding ticket 2 days ago in Lynnwood. I was speeding 50mph on a 35mph-limit road. The officer told me I could go to court and get it deferred as this is my first ticket since I got the first one 8 years ago. My friends told me I should check "mitigation hearing" option and send the ticket to the court, then I can ask for deferral at court.
But on this forum, I found there would be a chance to get it dismissed.
Could you give me advice what would be the best way for me? My biggest concern is getting it off record, and also money.
I'm a little worried about talking with judge as I'm a girl from outside of U.S. and my English is not good enough to discuss this complicated matter (normal conversation is fine).
Thank you in advance!
