First Time Shoplifter Caught What Should I Expect Will Be the Penalty

My question involves criminal law for the state of: alabama

i was caught shoplifting from walmart the amount was only 24 dollars and im really sorry and remorseful, ive learned my lesson they didnt arrest me but gave me a court date. im very nervous what should i expect? i am a first time offender.

Older: Expect to pay the Civil Demand. You will have a court date. Eventually (if not already) your fingerprints and mugshot will be taken. You can expect fines. Possibly probation, community service.
