Default Small Gift Shop Can't Pay Credit Card Debt
I own a small gift shop in Missouri and am behind on my credit card payments. They are going to sue. The card is in my business name, yet they say I am personally responsible. Exactly what can they do? I own a home (with my husband who is NOT on the business or the credit card). I do not have a regular income, as it is based solely on purchases made by any customers that come into my store...which are few!! That's why I can't pay my c.card.

Default Credit Card Debt
You probably did personally guarantee the debt when you applied for the card. You can ask for a copy of your credit card application to verify whether or not you are personally liable.

If they sue you for the debt, they would presumably seek a judgment for any amount owed, interest, court costs, and attorney fees if permitted by their contract or by law.
