My ex and I got into a heated argument and he relayed to me that he would hide money in his businesses as to not pay child support. He also said that his tax guy "works magic" on his tax forms and i would not get a dime from him for child support because he had a good tax guy. The conversation kept going in the direction of his tax guy...

So, I wrote his tax guy and I told him what my ex said. I didn't tell anyone else but the tax guy. I wanted him to know that I was watching, basically. Now, the tax guy said that I defamed his character. How can I when I was merely repeating what was said to me by my ex? Also I never told a 3rd party, only the party which it was originally about.
