    Default Texas Pardons

Does anyone know if the board pardons class C misdemeanors?Does anyone know time limit for appeal on Class C?

If the tough Gran'ma wins this Gubernatorial I think pardons will be more easy to come by,because I know Richards granted like a hundred times the amount of Bush-who only pardoned old men because his logic is a bit different to say the least.

Although I would suspect you can seek a pardon for the Class C offense, the overall success rate is only about 8% (in 2004). If you received deferred adjudicaiton, you should be able to expunge it (All Class C misdemeanors can be expunged now where as any other deferred adjudication can only be sealed.)

Don't count on the "tough grandma" to get do anything about this as she is still a Republican at heart just like Perry.

It is six years old and no DA.I wondered if appeal time limit ran out on this,or if contact with JP or TX Pardon Board with proof of innocence would work .Or if I am just SOL -until change in legislature.I want an expungement as a sealing would not do for my line of work.Let me know any and every possible avenue!

PS-I lived in Austin when she was Mayor and I have to say I think she is more open- minded and out of the box than the other two,of course if Kinky won I think we would have margarita machines in all the prisons LOL.

If you really have evidence of your innocence that is irrefutable, maybe you can file for a writ of habeous corpus. I'm not much of an expert on those, but, for example, it is filed when someone is in prison and they are actually being held and then there is evidence that comes out. Since you aren't in prison, I guess a pardon might be your only way. You should really considering hiring a criminal defense attorney.
