    Default Back Injury at Work

My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: Michigan

I've never had any type of back injury in my life. I work at a shipping company, one of the big ones. Well we had a package come in that should of never of been picked up by the ground and should of been delivered freight. The reason it should of been delivered freight is because it was too heavy and too big for any ground location. I seen a kid struggling with the package and I assisted him, whilst assisting him I felt a very sharp pain in my back. I notified the manager and wrote a report and was sent home early.

Today when I woke up I could barely get out of bed! I'm not one to complain about pain I've had my share of falls and tumbles on my motorcycles, but this pain is excruciating! What do I do?

Also note that this is a part time job. I typically get 18-23 hours a week. Something just doesn't feel right about what happened. I honestly feel like this pain is going to stick with me the rest of my life, which would be detrimental.

You follow up with a doctor, making sure that the doctor accepts comp.
