17 Year Old Charged with Possesion of Marijuana

My question involves criminal records for the state of: North carolina

Hey I was just charged with possession of marijuana (less than 1\2 O) in charlotte, nc. I have court next month and I am nervous about the outcome...I hear that I will most likely get probation and a fine...but the thing is I am moving to new york a couple days after court. Is it possible to serve probation in another state? or will they make me stay in charlotte for a specified amount of time?Another thing is I am 17 years old and I don't want this to stay on my record is there anyway to get this expunged off my record when I am 18? Thanks in advance I really need some advice.

I read somewhere for a certain amt of marijuna expungment is possabile,you might have to wait longer then a year idk b.c at 17 your probably gonna be charged as an adult and not a juvi. You should hire a lawyer to help you plea to the right charge where expungemnet is possabile and help orgainze probation in ny if your sentecned to that. Maybe there a diversion or some type of youthful offender status where you can avoid a conviction. A lot of lawyer have a free consulation.
