My question involves criminal law for the state of: Washington
A couple nights ago I was leaving a bar and I forgot that I had given my ID to the front door person (so I could go grab a friend). After leaving, I went back to get my ID from the bouncer and he basically said its in the office, your not getting it back. That went back and forth for a sec then I turned and left. I turned back around to get a picture of the guy so I could call his boss the next day. He saw what I was trying to do, and knocked the phone down as I tried. I turned to leave and got punched in the side of the head by him. I remember getting kicked in the head but the rest was filled in by witnesses.
What they saw...3 security guys pinned me against the wall then on the ground, a different one stomped on my head and knocked me out and they drug me by my feet about 60ft and banged my head pretty hard on a couple doors on the way out. They threw me on the street and ran back inside, closing the doors so nobody could follow. Also immediately mopping up the pool and trail of blood from my head gash.
Cops, abulances and everything were there when I woke up and luckily a couple people saw at least my head getting stomped, just not the first part of it. Basically since nobody saw the first guy punch me... I can only charge the second guy I think. And since I only know the second guys name, Im not sure what the police will do to help me find out who origanally hit me? Also I'm Not sure what I can do about suing the bar either?
I ended up getting a few stitches in my head and bruised up as well as having 4 bleeds in my brain shown from the CT and mri scan I did right after.
Part of the reason I'm worried about this is that the cops didn't seem to think it was a big deal and haven't seem to be contacting witnesses and blowing it off. And nobody has been charged or arrested yet. ...I'll do the work if I have to...as long as these guys get arrested!
What can I do to make sure that all of these guys go to jail and be able to sue this bar for all the damages?
Thanks!
