    Default Pool Table Gone

My question involves criminal law for the state of: ohio

I purchased a pool table in my name for 2000.00.After the purchase i stored it at a friends house because of space issued in my home.It was agreed that in exchange for the storage he coulod use the table.I come to find out that he sold the table for 400.00.I know through a mutual friend where the table is.I have receipts for payments on the table because i am financing it.My question is "what recourse do i have in this matter to obtain the table back?

How long was it at his house? Did he ever ask you to pick it up?

It was there for a few months. And no he never asked me to pick it up.We had just been enjoying playing pool together. He then told me he'd start paying on the note for the table if i left it there. He gave me half of one months payment then the table disappeared as he had sold it as i stated. This transaction occured completely without my knowledge or conscent.

Since you were both using it throughout the time it was there, he'd have a hard time claiming that you had abandoned it.

Your recourse here is to file a police report for the theft, and take him to small claims court to recover the cost of the pool table.
