Possession of Stolen Parts

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Washington State

I was wondering what the statue of limitations for possession of stolen property (car parts) is in Washington state.

my fiance was found with car parts that turned up to be stolen. I was wondering how long they would have to charge him. Since the parts have been found, we have moved to a different state, but we are worried about him being in trouble. we are trying to get our lives on track and this is something we would like to get taken care of so it isnt hanging over our heads.

and does the statue apply to how long they have to charge you with it, or how long they have to convict you?

If he's living out of state, the statute isn't running - "The periods of limitation prescribed in subsection (1) of this section do not run during any time when the person charged is not usually and publicly resident within this state."

so unless we move back to washington he can still be picked up for it? there isnt a warrent out for his arrest or anything, they want him for questioning because it was part of a whole theft ring in washington.

also, I was wondering what the degree of charge would be? he doesnt think the parts would add up to more then 1,000. A hood and bumpers, and a tailgate from an older vehicle

He won't be picked up for anything unless and until there's a warrant. But in this case, choosing to run away from the problem won't make it go away.
