Is there a form used or do you just write a response when being sued for fraud?
Surely you've retained counsel? Being sued for fraud is rather serious business.
Select a county from here, and contact the Self Help Center. You'll probably need someone to look over your written answer and advise you as to what else you need to do.

I am trying to retain council but want to know how I can respond just in case. I'm having a rather difficult time finding someone to take the case as everyone seems to have a rather full calender
You can file a motion for an extension of time to answer.
You can simply use the general form of the complaint (captioning, etc.) and deny the allegations of the complaint. There will be one or more claims. You need to deny each claim. If there is a statement of facts, deny anything that is not true. Blanket denials though are not recommended.
You must file the answer with the clerk within the time allowed and send a copy to opposing counsel as per the rules of the court.
You should research local rules and relevant law if you can't find an attorney.
